Who we are

CST Consulting Limited is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors and RICS Registered Valuers, registered in England & Wales, with its office at 47 Bury New Road, Prestwich, M25 9JY. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about anything in this notice at info@cstconsult.co.uk or on 07543 847617.

What we collect and why

Enquiry form. When you send an enquiry we collect the details you provide — name, company, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, a property postcode and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where an instruction follows, to carry it out. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Security data. Our systems record technical information such as your IP address alongside form submissions, which we use to prevent spam and abuse of the website. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, how far people scroll, and which links are used. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share enquiries with third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers to run this website, acting on our instructions: Google (Firebase) hosts the site and stores enquiry records, Resend delivers enquiry emails to us, and Google Analytics processes usage data where you have consented. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where an enquiry does not lead to an instruction, we aim to delete it within 12 months. Records relating to professional instructions are retained in line with RICS requirements and our professional indemnity insurance obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to request access to it, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@cstconsult.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
